We receive a lot of call from people asking us which dock light would work best for their particular needs.  The light you choose really depends how much area you are wanting to illuminate and whether or not you have neighbors close by that the larger flood lights may be intrusive too. Please take a minute to compare all of our AlumiGlo LED Dock Lights shown below and choose the light(s) best light suited for your needs.

Our above water lights come in two basic categories. “High Intensity Flood Lights” used for illuminating large areas around your dock or pier and “Low Intensity, Direct Lighting” used for lighting the immediate area in front of or under your dock or pier.

Medium Intensity Bar Lights

The DockPro 4500-X3 is a 48-watt, medium intensity 3-Color above water LED light (Green, Blue, White) with Remote Control which is designed to be mounted on the face of the dock or under the dock and shine down onto the water. Typically, these lights are mounted between 1’ to 4’ above the water and are intended to illuminate the water immediately around the face of the dock. This light uses 45° lenses, and the color is easily changed from Green, Blue, or White using the included Remote Control. In order not to illuminate the entire area, this light uses directional lenses which will illuminate an area 6 ft wide and as much as 20ft forward depending on the angle you set the light at. 4500 Lumens per color.

The DockPro 3,500 is a 44-watt, medium intensity Single Color above water LED light which is designed to be mounted on the face of the dock or under the dock and shine down onto the water. Typically, these lights are mounted between 1’ to 4’ above the water and are intended to illuminate the water immediately around the face of the dock. This light uses 60° lenses and can be ordered with Green, Blue, or White LEDs. In order not to illuminate the entire area, this light uses directional lenses which will illuminate an area 6 ft wide and as much as 20ft forward depending on the angel you set the light at. 3500 Lumens.

High Intensity Underwater Light

The GTX-13000 is a 120-watt, high intensity Green or White underwater LED light which is designed to illuminate the water in front of your dock or pier. The light comes with everything you need for installation except the 1.25″ vertical piece of PVC shaft. Docks and piers come in all sizes and shapes, and some sit 15″ off the water and some sit 8 ft off the water so it’s impossible for us to ship a vertical PVC shaft that would fit every dock. A 10 ft piece of 1.25″ PVC is available at any hardware store for around $12.00. The kit comes with an aluminum mounting bracket which is designed to mount on the front edge of your dock. The vertical PVC shaft slides through the bracket which allows you to lower the light as deep in the water as desired and allows you to turn the light 180-degrees if needed. The light uses (120) 1-watt LEDs and produces 13,200 Lumens of light.

High Intensity Flood Lights

The DockPro 16,000 is a 150-watt, high intensity above water LED flood light which is usually mounted anywhere from 6 ft to 8 ft above the water. This light is available in 120° wide flood or 60° medium flood for those who want a more direct beam of light on the water’s surface.  The bracket allows you to rotate the light 180-degrees for your angle preference. The 120° model is available in Green, Blue, or White and the 60° model is available in Green only. 16,203 Lumens.

The DockPro 26000 will is a 250-watt, high intensity above water LED flood light which is usually mounted anywhere from 8 ft to 20 ft above the water.  This light uses a 120° wide angle reflector and is a great light for large piers and open areas where the light will not bother close by neighbors.  The bracket allows you to rotate the light 180-degrees for your angle preference.  26,250 Lumens.

Lights by Comparison

The comparison chart below makes it simple to compare important information such as Lumens, Watts, and Amps. Please keep in mind that the DockPro 16000, and DockPro 26000 lights are high intensity flood lights which close by neighbors may not like. If you have neighbors, you may want to consider using the DockPro 4500-X3, DockPro 3,500, or the GTX-13000 lights which are designed to illuminate the water directly in front of the dock and not the surrounding area.
