Price Increases – Out of Stock Items
AlumiGlo Lighting along with most other U.S manufacturers are being hit hard by supply chain disruptions amid the Covid-19 pandemic and have now been hit with large price increases in fuel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel and other petroleum based products. Higher manufacturing costs, shipping costs and short inventories will result in higher retail prices through the end of this year.
The rapid spread of the Covid-19 virus has had a huge impact on the global economy, which is rippling around the world via the long supply chains of major industries. While our products are designed and assembled at our facilities in Kansas, many of the parts used to make our lights come from suppliers from factories located in both the U.S. and abroad. Not only are plants struggling to keep up with production, but shipping companies both here and abroad are running behind in an attempt to ship as much product as possible by air and sea.
Lead time on parts made abroad is typically 30-days plus another 30-days to ship container lots by sea. Manufacturing lead time is now about 45-days and sea shipments are running 60-to 90 days before delivery to us. This means there will be times when our dock lights may be out of stock for extended periods of time.
We appreciate your patience and continued support during these times and are doing everything possible to prevent inventory shortages and huge price increases. However, there will be times when some items are OUT OF STOCK while waiting on parts to build our lights. We would highly recommend ordering any lights you are interested in now, because shortages will be occurring and prices will be increasing. Parts and shipping costs have been increasing significantly due to shortages related to COVID-19 as well as the new administrations desire to move away from fossil fuels.
